       The Mathieu Ochre Factory / ôkhra

The Mathieu Plant is a former ochre factory that produced about 1,000 tons of ochre per year from 1921 to 1963. There is a shop that sells pigment colours and other nice artist materials and they give guided tours. Highly recommended! The town Roussillon is also nice to visit with many galleries and colourful houses.

Paper mill in Bretagne. Ateliers d'Art Papier. You can see the work of a bookbinder and paper maker. They sell handmade paper made of linen, hemp, ferns and peat. *Recommended by Anne-Marie Burger
